The horror of Black Friday is the lust of conquest, the notion that by staying up for 24 hours or queueing for a parking spot, we have somehow ACHIEVED something. It’s not materialism, it’s narcissism that cranks this tractor.
The day after “Thanks Giving day” is “Get all you can get” day.
