I’ve been posting local updates on Hurricane Sandy from West Ocean City, Maryland on Ocean City Blog at http://marylandonmymind.com. We’re approaching afternoon low tide so I’m going out to reconnoiter on foot, and possibly move the car to higher ground. We’re expecting the worst of the storm Monday afternoon and night. i saw on the weather channel that o.c. was evacuated. where did you or where will u go

Only the area south of 17th St. is under mandatory evacuation. Also all nonresidents and visitors were ordered to evacuate yesterday. Local residents often got to stay with friends or relatives in Salisbury etc. Visitors usually return home on the Western Shore of MD, or in other nearby states.
